If you don't have a preference, your musicians can pick something that fits really well with the other songs you have chosen. Don't worry about the length of the song, the musicians are highly experienced and will custom fit each song to the real time needs of the ceremony.

Below you will find some song ideas for different ceremony styles. These are just some ideas to help you get started. Keep in mind that you can use any song in any part of your ceremony, there are no "rules." While the songs listed are for a classical wedding. I have done many contemporary weddings where the music flowed really well. Irish ballads, modern rock, and even bluegrass. This is your special day, the music needs to be a reflection of you.

Here are some common songs that work well in a classical ceremony
PreludeYou do not have to pick out the prelude songs if you don't want to. You have enough decisions to make as it is, many brides feel great knowing that their prelude music is taken care of and that they didn't have to do anything.

Entrance of the ParentsIf it takes less than a minute to seat the grandparents, changing to another song so soon can be distracting. Depending on the length of the isle, you might want to consider having the parents and grandparents enter to the same song.

Entrance of the BridesmaidsDon't worry about the length of the song you pick for this portion of your ceremony. Professional musicians are able to play the song so that it ends at the perfect time. If everyone enters faster or slower than normal, the music will sound as if you planned it that way.

Bridal ProcessionalAh, the moment we have all been waiting on! This song will announce your entrance. Everyone will stand and turn to see you and the most perfect dress! What song captures the feeling best? What kind of mood do you want to set? Stately? Lyrical?

Special Song / Unity CandleIf you have a unity candle, or communion time, it is nice to have a song playing in the background. During this time everybody just watches and listens. It is a wonderful time to reflect and take in the beauty of the moment.
